Lead Engineer

• Built, managed, upgraded, and maintained 15 prototype units to ensure availability of units for all experiments on road map.
• Revised prototype design using Fusion 360 to improve the printability and/or functionality of the parts for faster turnaround time and unit improvements.
• Conducted and thoroughly documented system level, root cause analysis of prototype failures making it easy to identify, track, and address issues.

Materials Print Engineer

• Owned material tunings and improvements on ULTEM 9085 and other materials as a tech lead for material integrations on FX20, Markforged's flagship 3D printer; improved the print quality of existing materials and made new ones available.
• Refined functionality and usability of existing Python scripts to improve material tuning processes.
• Wrote work instructions for and trained new engineers on over ten print engineering methods leading to them being capable of owning and delivering projects themselves for quicker availability of new materials and existing material improvements for customers.
• Worked with respective teams (SW, ME, EE) on testing systems-level changes and electromechanical/software root cause analysis throughout the product development process to identify, track, and close tickets related to bugs or new feature implementations.
• Troubleshot real-time, novel system issues in-line on the production floor for end-of-quarter deliverables directly resulting in more orders fulfilled.
